Big changes to Reaching the Tape

July 4, 2011 - A lot of changes have been made to Reaching the Tape over the past month. More information is now recorded about each race. Unfortunately this means that the exisiting information for races had to be deleted and re-entered. The biggest effect you might see is that links from Facebook to pages that were "Liked" will be broken

Now for the good stuff! Races can now have information about multiple times, this allows information to be entered about different types of races such as triathlons. Now charts can show information about all the "legs" of a race including transitions.

Races can now provide optional links to their own website, a picture associated with their race, and the website of the organization that did the timing. If you use Facebook to "Like" a racer's results the race picture will appear on their wall in Facebook.

Look for the following changes in the coming weeks:

• Results from all of the Rochester Runner of the Year races.
• The ability to see results by division, for example if a race has both runners and walkers you can filter the results for each of these divisions so that runners can remove the walkers' results and vice versa.
